1. Who We Are

ZAPLE ("we", "us", "our") is a prompt compression tool operated by ZAPLE Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand. You can reach us at hello@getzaple.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect as little data as possible:

• Prompt text — When you use the compression feature, your text is sent to our API and processed by Claude (Anthropic). We do not store the content of your prompts after processing is complete.
• Anonymous usage data — We may collect non-identifying data such as compression rate, language detected, and source (web, extension, context menu). This contains no personal information.
• IP address — Used solely for rate limiting (20 free requests per day). Not stored beyond the current server session.
• Waitlist email — If you join our waitlist, we store your email address to notify you of our launch. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. What We Don't Collect

• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not store your prompt history
• We do not use cookies for tracking
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
• We do not collect payment information (the service is free)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ZAPLE:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — Your prompt text is sent to Anthropic's API for compression. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. See anthropic.com/privacy.
• Vercel — Our API and website are hosted on Vercel. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google Fonts — Used for typography on our website.

5. Chrome Extension

The ZAPLE Chrome extension operates on the same principles:

• It only activates when you explicitly click the ⚡ Zap button
• It reads text from the active field only when you trigger a compression
• Your draft input is saved locally in chrome.storage.local — this never leaves your device
• Token savings stats are stored locally in chrome.storage.local — never uploaded
• The extension does not read your browsing history or page content passively

6. Data Retention

Prompt text is not retained after your compression request is fulfilled. Anonymous usage events (language, token count, source) may be retained for up to 90 days for product improvement purposes.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your waitlist email at any time
• Ask what data we hold about you (though for most users, this is nothing)
• Opt out of anonymous analytics (contact us to disable)

8. Children's Privacy

ZAPLE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ZAPLE after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
